Got any questions?

What are my options when trying to get a new utility supply?

The most common option since the deregulation of the utility market is the Multi Utility Market, this does vary in different areas but its currently the preferred route within the North West.

Why use We Connect?

  • The multi utility sector has seen significant growth in recent years, and it’s becoming more and more difficult for a developer, or builder to find the right contractor for their project. We Connect have a well-established understanding of the sector and can advise on which contractor would be best for you and your project.

  • Multi Utility Contractors offer different services; quotations generally don’t look the same or include the same offers. At We Connect we use our varied experience to review and consolidate the information provided to enable you to make a more informed decision.

  • With the utility works being a fraction of the overall work when it comes to a new development it’s easy to lose focus on the requirements and it’s difficult to keep track of the work that has been completed. We Connect are here to take the strain away to enable you to focus wholly on your project.

The acronyms are confusing, what do they mean?

SLO - Self Lay Organisation

SLP - Self Lay Provider (used in the water sector)

DNO - District Network Operator (Electricity North West, Western Power Distribution etc.)

IDNO - Independent District Network Operator

GT - Gas Transporter (Cadent, Northern Gas etc.)

IGT - Independent Gas Transporter

POC - Point of Connection
